Site Rules for Tenants

1. General

The opening and locking of offices and warehouses are the responsibility of the person leasing the building.

Access routes to and from place of work will always be the shortest and safest route.

Visitors access with vehicles will only be allowed at the discretion of Table Mountain Motion Picture Studios. If access is denied the visitors must park in the parking lot outside the Security gate and walk in.

Security of Offices and Vehicles are at the owners’ risk.

2. Personnel

Ensure that all your personnel are in possession of acceptable identification and that these are carried at all times and are available for inspection.

Advise your personnel that the Company security guards have the right to search them, their vehicles and bags/toolboxes at any time.

Do not allow your employees to enter or leave the Premises except through the main gate.

Employees are prohibited to visit any part of the Premises other than their place of work, demarcation tape and warning signs are to be adhered to, at all times.

Do not remove purchased materials, your equipment or tools without being in possession of a written “Authority for Removal” form from your Head of Department.

Do not allow your employees to bring intoxicating liquor, drugs, firearms or offensive weapons onto the premises, unless authorized by Table Mountain Motion Picture Studios. (N.B. No person suspected of being under the influence of liquor or drugs may enter the premises).

Do not allow your employees to smoke in any areas other than where smoking is permitted.

3. Clothing

Adhere to the Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) Act of 1993

4. Housekeeping

Keep your working areas neat and tidy and safe. Tenants are responsible for their own refuse removal.

Material left lying around which may damage or injure any equipment or person is not allowed.

Do not allow the indiscriminate dumping of waste, rubbish or scrap. The removal of such items is the tenants’ own responsibility.

5. Working in Elevated positions

Adhere to OHS Act.

6. Traffic signs and rules

Obey all traffic signs and rules as well as the speed limit on the premises.
The speed limit is 25 km/h throughout.

Employees are not permitted to bring their motor vehicles onto the premises without authority from the Table Mountain Motion Picture Studios liaison official.

Parking in any area except in designated areas is not allowed.

Obstruction of roads or walkways is not permitted.

Unroadworthy vehicles are not permitted.

Obey diversion routes indicated during periods of demolition.

7. Additional Security

All film, commercial or television productions may be required to contract the services of an additional security guard at the front gate in order to deal with the security requirements of the production and Table Mountain Motion Picture Studios. This requirement will be negotiated and agreed at the time of entering into the agreement with Table Mountain Motion Picture Studios for the use of the studios, offices and/or other areas of the Premises.

8. Excavations

No excavation is allowed without a work permit that must be made out by the Table Mountain Motion Picture Studios official. (Excavation is when ground is removed for more than an inch or stakes that are hammered into the ground for more than an inch deep). The concern with excavations is the underground services (water, electrical and sewerage). Excavation permits can be issued on very short notice.

9. Environmental

Do not allow trees or any other flora to be destroyed on Company property, or any animal, bird or non-poisonous reptile to be harmed or intentionally disturbed or interfered with in any way.

No fires or special effects are to be done without the direct permission of the Table Mountain Motion Picture Studios liaison official.

No dumping of any liquid (including contaminated / dirty water) in whatever form will be allowed into the drains or stormwater system. Please make sure that set construction and caterers adhere to these rules. This specifically also applies to paint and the washing and cleaning of paint equipment. All contaminated water (containing residue of paint, oil, soap and similar substances) must be captured and recycled off the premises. Table Mountain Motion Picture Studios can provide at cost tanks that can be used in this regard.

No washing of vehicles is permitted on these premises.
